چکیده
Connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) human-driven (HVs) are expected to coexist in the near future. CAV-dedicated lanes phases have been explored handle uncertainty driving behavior of HVs mixed traffic environment. However, could significantly sacrifice HV benefits. This study proposes a shared-phase-dedicated-lane (SPDL)-based control model at an isolated intersection with CAV dedicated In proposed model, left-turn through CAVs share cross during shared HVs. A three-level optimization is developed. At upper level, standard NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) ring barrier structure used for signal durations optimized by dynamic programming minimize total vehicle delay. middle phase sequences enumeration given from level minimum delay fed level. lower platooning buffer zone trajectory planning passing conducted based on timings travel time rolling-horizon scheme designed dynamical implementation time-varying conditions. The applicable intersections more than two each approach without HVs, which commonly seen critical urban control. Numerical studies validate advantages SPDL-based over blue-phase-based previous terms average capacity. Further, extended serve as alternative zone.

Freeway Lane Management Approach In Mixed Traffic Environment with Connected Autonomous Vehicles
Connected autonomous vehicles (CAV) technologies are about to be in the market in the near future. This requires transportation facilities ready to operate in a mixed traffic environment where a portion of vehicles are CAVs and the remaining are manual vehicles. Since CAVs are able to run with less spacing and headway compared with manual vehicles or mixed traffic, allocating a number of freewa...

Intersection Management Protocol for Mixed Autonomous and Human-Operated Vehicles
This article proposes a Hybrid Autonomous Intersection Management protocol (H-AIM), which is a variant of the formerly presented Autonomous Intersection Management protocol (AIM). Similar to AIM, H-AIM coordinates the right of way for connected and autonomous vehicles through an intersection in a way that is far more efficient compered to traditional traffic signals. Unlike AIM, H-AIM is shown ...
متن کاملAutomated Road Lane Detection for Intelligent Vehicles
Automated road lane detection is the crucial part of vision-based driver assistance system of intelligent vehicles. This driver assistance system reduces the road accidents, enhances safety and improves the traffic conditions. In this paper, we present an algorithm for detecting marks of road lane and road boundary with a view to the smart navigation of intelligent vehicles. Initially, it conve...
متن کاملTowards Cooperative Motion Planning for Automated Vehicles in Mixed Traffic
While motion planning techniques for automated vehicles in a reactive and anticipatory manner are already widely presented, approaches to cooperative motion planning are still remaining. In this paper, we present an approach to enhance common motion planning algorithms, that allows for cooperation with human-driven vehicles. Unlike previous approaches, we integrate the prediction of other traff...
